Dr. Rodrigues specializes in Contemporary Brazilian Literature. Her research interests include prose fiction of the 21st century, narratives of displacement, urban literature, and the (re) construction of Brazilian national identities. Her articles have been published in Brasil/Brazil, Ellipsis, Portuguese Traditions, among other journals. She is also interested in the teaching of Portuguese as a second language, specifically via the use of new media in foreign language learning and study abroad programs.
