Dr. Khédija Gadhoum is Academic Professional, Spanish Study Abroad Advisor, and Portuguese Language Supervisor.

(Ph.D. The Ohio State University, 1998; M.A. The Ohio State University, 1990; Maitrise Combinée de Langues, espagnol-anglais, Institut Bourguiba des Langues Vivantes, Université de Tunis, Tunisie, 1984).

She specializes in contemporary Latin American literature and culture. She teaches Spanish courses on Latin American Film, Hispanic Cultures, Hispanic Literature, and Spanish Conversation and Composition.

Dr. Gadhoum is also interested in International Education. For several years, she directed Spanish Study Abroad Programs in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In 2013, she taught at UGA Monteverde, Costa Rica Program.

In addition, she is a creative writer and author of más allá del mar. bibenes (Madrid, Cuadernos del Laberinto, 2016), and celosías en celo (Madrid, Torremozas, 2013).  Her published work has appeared in national and international journals and anthologies: Afro-Hispanic Review, Negritud: Journal of Afro-Latin American Studies, Ámbitos Feministas, The South Carolina Modern Language Review, Dos orillas: El Estrecho de Gibraltar. Frontera Literaria, Feministas Unidas, Inc., Humanismo Solidario: Poesía y Compromiso en la Sociedad Contemporánea, JoLLE@UGA.
