SUSAN CANTY QUINLAN

Associate Professor of Portuguese, Spanish, and Women's Studies
Ph.D., University of New Mexico, 1986

Dr. Susan Canty Quinlan has research interests in Luso-Brazilian literature, contemporary Brazilian women's literature, and literary theory. She has held a Fulbright Fellowship and a Humanities Center Fellowship (University of Georgia) and is an affiliated member of the programs in Women's Studies and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Her publications include The Female Voice in Contemporary Brazilian Narrative (Peter Lang, 1991), Visões do passado, previsões do futuro: Critical ed. (Tempo Brasileiro, 1996), Lutas do Coração: Critical Edition (Editora Mulher, 1999), editor of Lusosex: Gender and Sexuality in the Portuguese-Speaking World (University of Minnesota Press, 2002), and articles in Luso-Brazilian Review, Hispania, Revista de Crítica Literária Latinoamericana and others.
