Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant

I am from Mato Grosso, Brazil, and I am currently a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) of Portuguese in the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Georgia (UGA). I am also a master’s student in Psycholinguistics in the Graduate Program in Linguistics and Literature at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), where I hold a CAPES scholarship. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and English Language and Literature from the same institution. At UFRGS, I also worked as a Portuguese as an Additional Language instructor in the university’s Portuguese for Foreigners Program (PPE). My research interests are in Psycholinguistics, with an emphasis on L2 Phonetic-Phonological Acquisition, Bilingualism, Cognition, and the development of oral fluency in Portuguese as an Additional Language. I am a researcher affiliated with the Laboratory of Non-Native Phonology (LaFonn). I also hold a technical degree in Human Resources from the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT).
