Timeko McFadden is a doctoral student in Hispanic Studies in the Romance Languages Department. She teaches Spanish language courses as well as SPAN 2550: Introduction to Latino Literature. She has also served as a writing coach for the writing intensive program and is a council member for the Graduate Student Association (GSA). A graduate of the Women’s Studies certificate program, her research interests include feminist theory, the performance of latinidad in the South, Latinx women’s writing and food ways in literature. Since 2020 she has been a reviewer for The Classic Journal, a journal that features writing and research by undergraduate students at the University of Georgia.
