Congratulations to Vera Bulla for successfully defending her Ph.D. dissertation titled "Climate Bildungsroman in 21^st Century Brazil: A Study of Nikelen Witter's Viajantes do abismo and Aline Valek's Cidades afundam em dias normais."

Dr. Bulla defended her project on Friday, Feb. 24, and on Monday, Feb.27, she was awarded the 2023 Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award. She was nominated by both the Portuguese Program and the Institute of Women's Studies, where she currently teaches. We couldn't be prouder of her accomplishments.
