French and Spanish major Esteban Lazaro has been named as the Department of Romance Languages' first Student Ambassador for summer orientation. A member of French National Honor Society Pi Delta Phi, Esteban studied in Montpellier last summer with UGA en France. This summer, he will be sharing information about our departmental courses, majors, and programs with  incoming first-year and transfer students in his role as Orientation Leader within UGA's Division of Student Affairs.

Update: Esteban was honored as a Top 100 UGA Employee, took a UGA Graduate Internship for Summer 2026 Orientation, and was accepted into the Higher Education and Student Affairs graduate program at Boston College, where he will pursue a Masters Degree.
