ROML's French section was delighted to welcome Prof. Olivier Bertrand from Paris’ École Polytechnique. Prof. Bertrand led an engaging lunchtime information hour in which he discussed numerous opportunities for study abroad at Polytechnique. Prof. Bertrand then gave an impressively rich talk about the theme of love in medieval French literature, proceeding from the earliest texts written in French to the fifteenth-century stage. Prof. Bertrand’s visit was organized by Dr. Lukas Ovrom as part of a longstanding partnership between our department and Villa Albertine Atlanta, a cultural branch of the French Embassy in the US.
