Working Abroad after Graduation

You can work and live abroad after graduation through many funded programs that promote international understanding.  Applying to Fulbright is a one way for Language and Humanities majors at UGA to get grants to live and work internationally in countries like France, Brazil, India, Italy, Columbia, Mexico, and Spain and then return to the U.S. to take their careers to the next level.

See our career-planning page and internship page for more opportunities. Talk to your language professors about applying and about additional country-specific programs they may know.

"I know this Fulbright year is going to be life-changing.  I'm going to experience so many new things I could never even have dreamed of and I can't imagine the direction that my life will take a year from now."

–Geoffrey Nolan, Double Major in Spanish and International Affairs 2013, National Communications Strategist for Earthjustice for Policy and Legislation since 2021
