PhD student - Portuguese, Presidential Graduate Fellow, Instructor of Record / Teaching Assistant of Portuguese I am a PhD student at the University of Georgia. My research focuses on exploring Brazilian poetry through the lenses of women’s studies and decolonial thinking theories. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Literature, specializing in Portuguese and English, and a Master’s degree in Languages and Literature with a focus on Literary Theory and Cultural Criticism, both from the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ). Throughout my academic journey, I have been the recipient of two CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Brazil) scholarships. I am a member of the research group "Poéticas da Diversidade" (UERJ - State University of Rio de Janeiro). My past research spanned a broad range of topics in literature, with particular focus on women’s studies and cultural studies. Throughout the years, I have published in Brazilian academic journals such as Policromias (UFRJ - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). In 2021, I authored a book chapter in the book Literatura e diversidade: estudos contemporâneos published by FFP/UERJ (Rio de Janeiro State University) and, in 2025, a chapter in the book Deslocamentos, heterotopias, identidades: reflexões sobre literatura, arte e diversidade published by Pedro & João Editores (Brazil). In 2024, my master’s thesis, titled Pode a mulher escolher? (in English: Can women choose?), was published by the Luso-Brazilian/Galician publisher Editora Urutau.
