This Friday, August 30, Dr. Anderson will present the second part of his talk,"Understanding the Profession and the Job Search." This talk will take place from4:30-5:00 in Gilbert 118.

The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and its Lead with Languages campaign, with the support of Pearson LLC and Language Testing International, commissioned Ipsos Public Affairs to conduct a survey of 1,200 U.S. employers, and the resulting 2019 report, Making Languages Our Business: Addressing Foreign Language Demand Among U.S.

Four University of Georgia Portuguese Flagship students were awarded Boren Scholarships this spring, which will allow them to study abroad during the 2019-2020 academic year in Brazil.

Congratulations to Romance Languages linguistics professors Chad Howe, Pilar Chamorro, Timothy Gupton, and Margaret Renwick, who were awarded a National Science Foundation grant to fund the 49th Linguistics Symposium on Romance Languages!
